Well, as promised, I have written what I hope will be the first of many of my blogs and as it is Friday 12th October ...Royal Wedding Day... It has to be All about The Dress.
As I am writing this, I have only seen a few pics as I have been busy as always making you lovely people your wedding stationery. However I have seen a few images of the dress and the sentiment behind it and think both are lovely.
Well done Princess Eugenie who wore a gorgeous dress, designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos, with a V front, and back showing the scars from a major operation she endured when she was 12 years old.
Eugenie wanted to 'honour the people who looked after her when she had an operation for curvature of the spine and for a way of standing up for the young people who also go through this'.
The dress also contained symbolism including the York Rose - Where the couple live, Ireland's Shamrock- where Eugenie's family originate and the Scottish thistle - a place close to the couple's hearts. All reinterpreted in motifs on the dress.
My thoughts this week, including a post on my Facebook page http://bit.ly/2CcTtfZ have been wondering how much people are willing to spend on a wedding and what would their priorities be.
I would love to know what you think...…...
Do you, or did you have a planned budget?
Did you stick to it?
Did you blow it?
An interesting article here: http://bit.ly/2A6cdws All about the most expensive weddings. Worth a read.
I hope you have enjoyed my first blog, please let me know your thoughts. Catch up with you later!
